Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the leadership style of KSPPS KUM Bogor Jatibarang Branch and to analyze the democratic leadership style of KSPPS KUM Bogor Jatibarang Branch in improving employee performance. The type of research used by the author in this research is field research, observing every incident in the field or phenomena that occur at the research location. This research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at KSPPS KUM Bogor Jatibarang Brebes, from November 25 2021 to December 25 2021. To collect data and information obtained in this study, primary data and secondary data were used. Data collection techniques in this research are by means of observation, interviews, documentation and library research. The data analysis technique used in this study is a descriptive technique by means of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Based on the research that has been conducted in the field, in this study the theory of democratic leadership style, KSPPS KUM Bogor, Jatibarang Branch, theoretically has fulfilled the principles put forward by Robbins and Coutler, namely democratic leadership describes leaders who tend to involve employees in making decisions, delegating authority. , encourage participation in deciding work methods and goals, and use feedback as an opportunity to train employees. The leadership style practiced by the deputy head of the KSPPS KUM Bogor Jatibarang branch is a democratic leadership style, which has been carried out by the branch head by always motivating, accepting criticism and suggestions from employees, and also in making decisions based on the results of interviews in realizing goals principal of the company. The conclusions of this study are (1) The democratic leadership style at KSPPS KUM Bogor Branch Jatibarang has influenced the performance of employees at work seen from the leadership prioritizing deliberation in making decisions and also providing jobdesk motivation or rewards to employees, it affects the performance of the employees. employees (2) democratic leadership style deputy head of KSPPS KUM Bogor Jatibarang branch has implemented a democratic leadership style in improving the performance of its employees. So, this has implications so that in the future KSPPS KUM Bogor Jatibarang can also apply other leadership styles, in order to improve employee performance. According to the author's suggestion for leaders, the leadership style should not only be in one leadership style. But choose with the conditions of the employees. As for the employees, they should follow the advice and instructions from the leadership so far to build and progress the KSPPS KUM Bogor, Jatibarang Branch.
