Abstract

This research develops MONUZA learning media (Monopoly of Being of Substance) which helps students improve their understanding of the concept in the material "How Does the Form of Things Change?". This research was conducted at SDN Gunung Picung 08 and involved 28 fourth grade elementary school students. The research method used is the ADDIE model with the stages: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, (5) Evaluation. Data was collected in various stages, namely: (1) analysis stage, carried out a needs assessment and assistance with student problems in learning through interviews; (2) Design and Development Stage, due diligence was carried out by media experts and material experts through a Likert scale expert validation questionnaire; (3) the implementation phase, trials were carried out through pretest and posttest; (4) evaluation stage, evaluation of the results of the implementation of MONUZA media was carried out through a student response questionnaire. The data obtained was then analyzed descriptively and the following results were obtained: (1) the average media expert feasibility assessment was 91.7% with a very valid category, the media expert's eligibility assessment was 95.3%; (2) the average rating after the trial was carried out with a pretest score of students' understanding of the concept was 49% and the post test was 84.67%; (3) the average response to the use of MONUZA media is 89.55%. Based on these results, reading MONUZA media can be implemented as a learning medium to improve students' understanding of concepts.
