Abstract
This study aims to determine the influence and relationship of public perception and behavior on the Wardah cosmetic halal products (Case study of Leuwiliang sub-district and Leuwisadeng sub-district). This research is a quantitative research. The method used to collect data is a questionnaire. The population in this study were users of Wardah cosmetic products in Leuwiliang and Leuwisadeng sub-districts. The number of samples is 200 respondent consisting of 100 respondents from Leuwiliang sub-district and 100 respondents from Leuwisadeng sub-district. Sampling using Purposive Random Sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis to determine the influence and relationship of public perception and behavior on the Wardah cosmetic halal products based on the characteristics of the respondents. Steps to prove the hypothesis in this study using multiple Linear Regression Analysis, Simultaneous (F statiscical test), Partial (t statiscical test) and Chi Square test.
From the results of this study, the perception and behavior of the community simultaneously have a significant effect on the Wardah cosmetic halal products in Leuwiliang sub-district and Leuwisadeng sub-district. The results of this study also show that between gender, age, the use of more than one product has nothing to do with people’s perceptions and behavior towards the Wardah cosmetic halal products. This is indicated by the results of the interpretation of the very weak contingency coefficient (0,031, 0,160, 0,014).
